Blue Xbox

Here is another box I just recently did over the July 4th weekend I have added to my collection. All parts were bought from local stores. I added the additional fan for overheating prevention. I recommmend that all Xboxes going through modding should atleast get an extra fan to prevent the dreaded RROD (Red Ring of Death) which has killed alot of consumers Xboxes. I have fixed several RRODs and whenever I have fixed them I strongly suggest that they get the extra fan so that they have a less chance of overheating again.. without the extra fan added you are only asking for a return of the RROD and more problems from your box.

System Software Changes

Reflashes the DVD drives to support XGD3 Media : PLDS DG-16D4S, PBDS VAD6038 and PLDS DG-16D2S, to a new stock firmware : 0272, 04421C, 02510C.
Anti-Piracy 2.5 scheme updated.
Support for the new XGD3 disk format for games, adds 1GB of usable disk space and extra anti-piracy features to new games (This may not be compatible with some older Xbox 360, having a Lite-On drives of 2009, is then possible require a console replacement). [2]
Adds a new 1 hour Auto-Off setting in addition to the 6 hour Auto-Off setting previously available.

Xbox Live Changes

Adds PayPal support as a payment option for all Xbox Live users, except : Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan[3].

Iron Mask’s x360phat

After many hours of trial, success and failure.  I have completed the way I want my x360 to look, feel and sound.  Many thanks goes out to the friends who helped encourage me to get mine completed after learning by mine to produce their x360’s to look and feel the way they wanted as well.  A learning experience and thrilling reward after sitting back and enjoying a nice game of Crysis 2.  Next up I will be doing some stuff to the x360 slims.  I now have one in my possession and am currently in thought of how I want this lil’ hot mamma to look and feel.. instead cook and peel because these slims throw some heat off their compacted shells in comparison to the x360phat designs.

This is an Xbox360 I modded for my friend… it was mainly intended for better cooling to prevent the infamous RROD.. but I think I may have just gotten myself a little carried away!

Would like to hear about any suggestions the viewers might have in improving the system in different ways, like lights, cooling, etc.
